Violinist Tosca Opdam attended the Young Talent Class at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Joyce Tan and Peter Brunt. After studying with Patinka Kopec at the Manhattan School of Music, she obtained her Master of Music degree at the Juilliard School of Music, with Catherine Cho and Sylvia Rosenberg. Tosca won First Prize in the prestigious Oskar Back Violin Competition 2011.

Since her orchestral debut as a soloist at the age of 11, Tosca has performed with various orchestras conducted by Jurjen Hempel, Annedore Neufeld, Matthew Rowe, Clark Rundell and others. Her performance in the 2015 Liberation Day concert was attended by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima and broadcast on TV. Tosca played concertos by Berg and Tchaikovsky with the Humboldt Orchester, Sibelius with the Greenwich Village Orchestra, and Bartók's Second Violin Concerto with the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz. She performed at the Grachtenfestival Amsterdam, Storioni Festival Eindhoven, Festival Classica João Pessoa (Brazil), and the Young Artists Program (Canada).

Tosca plays a 1700 Matteo Gofliller violin, generously provided to her by a private individual.
