After training as a visual artist at the Rietveld Academy, Marc Pantus studied singing at the conservatories of Utrecht, The Hague and the Steans Institute in Chicago. He has soloed with, among others, the Netherlands Bach Society, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Zuid and the National Opera, under conductors such as Kenneth Montgomery, Jos van Veldhoven and Paul McCreesh.

Marc recorded several opera roles on CD, including Publio in La clemenza di Tito by Mozart and Pan in Pan and Syrinx by Galliard. He also recorded a CD with Rudolf Jansen with songs by Dutch composers with lyrics by Heinrich Heine. Marc performed Schubert's three major cycles in one season with Rudolf Jansen at the piano. At the invitation of the International Vocal Competition, he wrote texts for two compulsory works for the 2020 and 2023 competitions.

Marc runs his own opera company, I Piccoli Holandesi, with which he created several comic opera productions as a director and singer.
