Dutch soprano Nikki Treurniet has sung on major Dutch stages in recent years and was associated with the Staatsoper Hannover for four years, where she expanded her opera repertoire with roles such as Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel) and Blanche (Dialogues des Carmelites).

In the 2023/24 season, Nikki could be heard in the new opera The shell trial in the Opera Forward festival of the Dutch Opera and she went on tour with Philharmonie Zuidnederland in Bach's St. Matthew Passion. She is a welcome guest at the Saturday matinee in the Concertgebouw. Nikki is also a much sought-after soloist in the concert repertoire. For example, she sang Bach's St. Matthew Passion and John Passion, Christmas Oratorio, Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem, Handel's Messiah and Mozart's Requiem. As a light lyric soprano, Nikki feels at home in baroque music as well as romantic and modern repertoire and has a great love for song, so she sang a recital at the International Song Festival Zeist last season.
