Jisse Kuipers
Trombone

Jisse Kuipers started playing the trombone when he was seven and a half years old. He plays with Brassband De Bazuin in Oenkerk, in the Jong Trombone Collective, in the JongNBenoord and is part of Frans Douwe Slot's talent class. Jisse receives trombone lessons from Quirijn van den Bijlaard.

Jisse was in the final of the Royal Concertgebouw Competition in both 2022 and 2023. In 2023 he won first prize in the final of the Princess Christina Competition in the North region and ended up in the National Final. Here he won the first prize and the press jury prize.

He played on television as Young Hero at Podium Klassiek and as one of the three young talents during the Kinderprinsengracht Concert 2023. He has also given a live performance twice on NPO Klassiek Radio. Special concerts also included a solo performance with the Friesland Youth Orchestra in the Main Hall of the Concertgebouw and the solo concert in the Westerkerk in Amsterdam during the Grachtenfestival.
