Isaac Lottman started playing the cello when he was two years old and took his first lessons at Aatie Aarts when he was 3 years old. Later he took lessons with Monique Bartels & Charles Watt. At the age of 13 he went to the Sweelinck Academy in Amsterdam where he studied with Monique Heidema.

After completing the Academy, Isaac spent a preparatory year at the Amsterdam Conservatory with Maarten Mostert and Pieter Wispelwey. He is currently in his third bachelor year and studies with Pieter Wispelwey. Isaac has attended masterclasses by Jean-Guihen Queyras, Dmitri Ferschtman, Gary Hoffman, Jeroen Reuling, Anastasia Kobekina and Mattias Bartolomey.

In 2019 Isaac won the British Competition and in 2022 he received second prize at the Cello Biennale Competition. He played several solo concerts with youth and student orchestras in and outside the Netherlands. He loves chamber music and is a cellist in the Fontana Quartet.
