Born in Zurich into a non-musician family in 1995, Giulia Wechsler started her music journey at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana at the age of 5. After graduating Highschool she pursued her studies at the International Menuhin Music Academy Gstaad with maestro Ivan Vukcevic followed by 5 years of bachelor studies at the with Marjolein Dispa and Nobuko Imai at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Giulia is currently studying for “Artist Diploma” degree program at the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin with Julia Deyneka. 

Despite her young age, Giulia has already performed in some of the major concert halls. And alongside her studies and career, she has gained already a large orchestral experience playing with various orchestras. Further musical inspiration was given thanks to her participations and special invitations to numerous festivals and academies and collaborations with chamber music partners.

She plays a viola by Stephan Peter Greiner made in 2019 and a Richard Wilson bow lent by Peter Hauber, she is a scholarship holder of the Schüller and Raltoz Stiftung.
