Ecuadorian pianist Aarón Ormaza Vera is currently finishing his Master studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Frank van de Laar. Aarón performs actively as a soloist and as a collaborative pianist, having played in some of the most important venues in the Netherlands (Het Concertgebouw, TivoliVredenburg, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam and Eindhoven, Toonzaal Den Bosch, and others). He is a prizewinner of the 8th YPF European Piano Competition (the Netherlands), the IX Stasys Vainiūnas Competition for Pianists and Chamber Ensembles (Lithuania), and the International Student LiedDuo Competition in Groningen (the Netherlands).


Aarón has been supported by the Jacques Vonk Funds during his studies in the Netherlands. He has also been a beneficiary of the Willem Mengelberg Fonds, het Cultuurfonds, and Muziek Is Meer Fonds. Presently, he performs in duos with soprano Kris Ng and mezzo-soprano Lucie van Ree, next to the piano-violin duo with his brother Jacob, Duo Ormaza. Furthermore, he works as an accompanist for the Dutch National Opera Academy.
