On the second Thursday evening of the Delft Chamber Music Festival it is time for the Night at the Museum. This success evening is often sold out quickly thanks to the special combination of a tour through Museum Prinsenhof Delft after closing time and beautiful live music at surprising locations in the museum.
On the basis of paintings and art objects the curators of the museum explain stories from the Golden Age supplemented with for example music from the Golden Age of Jazz: an ode to Benny Goodman. And - in keeping with the current MOJO Backstage exhibition - you will hear the similarity between the stars of MOJO and the superstar who was Orpheus in his time. Orpheus could easily have filled a stadium with adoring fans. In addition, we will look with a biologist for the effect of music on plants. Could Orpheus really let the trees move? We will find out based on Mozart's opera music!
