During this concert we will make a spiritual journey through music in which the work of appropriate composers will be heard. Like Bach, the spiritual father of classical music. He devoted his entire life and music to the religious theme. And Bruckner, who served as organist for many years, was a very religious man himself. Although he is mostly famous for his symphonies, his rarely performed string quintet is a good example of his musical language.
Franz Liszt devoted his last years entirely to religion, wrote many spiritual works and after years of travel created Années de Pèlerinage. Wagner, for his part, gave a perfect spiritual gift to his wife Cosima (daughter of Franz Liszt): Siegfried Idyll, which was performed as a surprise on a Christmas morning.
