Mayte Levenbach started playing the violin at the age of five. Two years later she was hired at the age of seven at the Young Talent Department of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Here she was first taught by Ilona Sie Dhian Ho and then by Theodora Geraets. At the moment she has private lessons from Julia Dinerstein. Mayte has participated in various competitions where she has won various (first) prizes, such as the Iordens violin competition and the Princess Christina Competition. During the National Final of the Princess Christina Competition in April 2018, she won a 1st prize and also the Audience Award and some solo performances with the Netherlands Youth Orchestra.
Mayte attended masterclasses with Liza Ferschtman, Frederieke Saeijs, Isabelle van Keulen and Emmy Verhey, among others. She has performed as a soloist with, among others, the Residentie Orkest, the Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest and the Gelders Orkest.
