Eline Hensels won the first prize and the public prize of the National Cello Competition in October 2018. She was taught by Monique Bartels at the Sweelinck academy in Amsterdam and Felix Schmidt at the Royal Academy in London, among others. She is currently taking classes with Alexander Petrasch and Gustav Rivinius. Eline won first prizes at the Princess Christina competition and the sample banker prize at the Dutch Britten Cello Competition.
Eline has been invited to various festivals such as Delft Chamber Music festival, Amsterdam Canal Festival and Festival Wonderfeel. She attended masterclasses with Marcio Carneiro, Charles Watt, Istvan Vardai, Stephan Forck, Bruno Pasquier and Emil Rovner, among others. In 2017 she participated in the Pablo Casals Academy. For her studies in London she received an Entrance Scholarship from the Royal Academy of Music, the Van denEnde foundation and the foundation of the Vrijvrouwe van Renswoude in The Hague. Eline has now performed solo with various orchestras and has also given solo recitals in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, among others.
