Daan Boertien is a Dutch concert pianist who specializes in song accompaniment. He gives concerts with different singers at home and abroad. At the age of 10, Daan was hired at the Young Musician’s Acadamy of the Tilburg Conservatory. He then studied with David Kuyken at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where he obtained both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Daan Liedgestaltung is currently studying at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, with the German song specialist Burkhard Kehring.
In 2010, Daan was the prize winner of the Princess Christina Competition. In 2015 he received the "Art on the Dijk Award for Young Talent". In 2018, Daan Boertien won the public award of Dutch Classical Talent together with baritone Raoul Steffani. Daan has already given concerts in Europe and Canada. He can also be heard and seen regularly on radio and television. He regularly plays at Podium Witteman. In recent years Daan has collaborated with singers such as Benjamin Appl, Michaela Kaune, Maarten Koningsberger, Maria Riccarda Wesseling, Marc Pantus, Thomas Oliemans and André Morsch.
