The young soprano Anne Martha Schuitemaker obtained her Bachelor's degree "cum laude" in 2015 at the Utrecht Conservatory with Karin van der Poel. Here she played the role of Hyacinth in Mozart's opera Apollo et Hyacinthus. In July 2016, Anne Martha participated in the Lotte Lehmann Akademie program in Perleberg, Germany. She successfully completed her Masters in Opera at Elisabeth Werres at the Universität der Künste Berlin.
For her Master's exam she sang the title role in the opera Angélique by Jacques Ibert in the summer of 2018 in a staging by Frank Hilbrich and conducted by Errico Fresis. In April 2019, Anne Martha made her professional debut as Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro in the Oper Wuppertal, directed by Julia Jones and there she also performed the role of Juliette in Die tote Stadt by Korngold in June.
