Tickets

Ticket sales for the Delft Chamber Music Festival are handled by the Nationale Theaterkassa. For concerts in the Van der Mandelezaal, there is reserved seating, meaning that seats are assigned. The concert in the Oude Kerk has partially open seating, meaning you can sit (almost) wherever you want. There is open seating for the remaining concerts. Tickets are sent via email and must be printed and brought to the concert.

Prior to most of the evening concerts, food and drink will be available on the festival grounds on the Oude Delft. During the weekends, there will be an introduction including background information before to some of the evening concerts in the Museum Prinsenhof Delft.

Food and drinks

Everyone is welcome to enjoy something to eat or drink on the Festival grounds. A hospitality icon in the programme book shows which concerts also offer an optional pre-concert dinner. The bar is open after every concert offering a chance to have a relaxing drink and a chat. And of course, the musicians are happy to join in!

MMtaste

The catering and hospitality at our festival is in the capable hands of MMTaste, the catering concept of Ed Hoogendijk and George Zevenbergen. Ed Hoogendijk is the chef at Ontdek Culinair Nederland. George Zevenbergen is a hospitality entrepreneur and owner of Moodz restaurant, opposite Theater De Veste in Delft.

Op Hodenpijl

Op Hodenpijl is an estate in Midden-Delfland. Nature, culture, the arts, health, and well-being come together in its four buildings and two gardens. The pure flavours of Midden-Delfland are served in restaurant de Herdershof. Would you like to see for yourself where are all these local flavours originate? Just visit the Levende Buitenplaats with its stables and vegetable garden. The Final concert of the Day in Midden-Delfland takes place in Op Hodenpijl. There's an option to have dinner after the concert, in the garden (weather permitting).  Click here for tickets.

Musical Chairs Concerts in Midden-Delfland

It's possible to have lunch during the Musical Chairs Concerts in Midden-Delfland at either Indigo, diagonally across from the Dorpskerk Schipluiden, or at Koffiehuis de Hooiberg, next to Kerk 't Woudt in Schipluiden. Please see the Musical Chairs Concerts in Midden-Delfland for telephone numbers to make reservations.

Accessibility

Most of the concerts take place in the Van der Mandelezaal in Museum Prinsenhof Delft (Oude Delft 185, Delft). In Delft, work is still in progress on the railway tunnel to replace the old rail viaduct. For this reason, please allow extra time for traffic diversions and roadworks. Further information is available on bereikbaardelft.nl

By car

We recommend parking in the Phoenix Garage or the Markt Garage. Additional parking can be found at parkingdelft.nl

Public transport

From NS Station Delft Centrum:
Tram (nr. 1, towards Scheveningen Noorderstrand); stop Prinsenhof.
Bus (nr. 51, towards Den Haag); stop Prinsenhof.

Less agile?

The Van der Mandelezaal in Museum Prinsenhof Delft is easily accessible for disabled visitors.  However, the restrooms can only be reached by means of a short staircase. To ensure safety in the event of a fire, there's a limit of a maximum of 3 mobility scooters or wheelchairs per concert. Requests for specific wheelchair or handicapped seats and other preferences can only be made by telephone. A few wheelchair places are available at all concert locations. However, the Musical Chairs Concerts are less suitable because they include so much moving around. The Musical Chairs Concerts will be connected by a special bus. More information will follow.

About the festival

Since its start in 1997, the Delft Chamber Music Festival has grown into a world-class chamber music festival. Every summer, violinist and artistic leader Liza Ferschtman invites the cream of the international crop of classical musicians to join her in making music against the splendid historical backdrop of Delft and its surroundings. Unique programmes are performed in a festive, summery and intimate setting.

The outstanding quality of the musicians, the passion of the performances, and the unique approach to music that never loses sight of tradition, have all ensured the festival's international renown. The Delft Chamber Music Festival thanks its sponsors, partners, supporters and Dikke Vrienden (close friends) for their contributions.
